Requesting Accessibility Accommodations

Procedure: Requesting Accessibility Accommodations

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to provide a clear process for visitors to request reasonable accommodation when they visit our facilities.

Scope

This procedure applies to all visitors, clients, and members of the public engaging with our organization in person or online.

Visitor Check-in & Registration Requirements

When you arrive on site, you will need to check in with Fibreco’s security and provide government identification.

If this is your first time visiting Fibreco, the security guard will provide you with the information to complete our site orientation training.

Please note that the training includes a short video followed by a quiz which can all be completed on your mobile device.

Safety Requirements

Fibreco is a safety-first facility. If your visit requires you to move about the facility beyond the office, you will be required to wear the following personal protective equipment:

  • Hard hat
  • CSA approved footwear
  • High visibility vest
  • Carbon Monoxide monitor in designated areas (ask site contact for specific details)

Please note: Fibreco’s facilities are not currently equipped with any ramps or lifts.

Procedure

Visitors who need accommodations are encouraged to let us know as early as possible, preferably at least 5-10 business days before their visit or participation.

Fibreco will make every reasonable effort to meet your accommodation request, and will communicate any limitations or alternative solutions if necessary.

4. Follow-Up

We encourage visitors to provide feedback on the accommodation process to help improve accessibility.

Feedback can be sent to feedback@fibreco.com.
